Winery Tomaz
Tomaz Winery is situated at the foot of the picturesque ancient town of Motovun, in the heart of Istria. The vineyards are located on sunlit slopes overlooking the Mirna River valley, benefiting from a unique microclimate influenced by the warm sea breeze from Novigrad and cool mountain air from Učka. This idyllic setting is ideal for producing high-quality wines.
The Tomaz family has a winemaking tradition that spans generations. Although the winery was officially established in 2009, its roots date back to the expertise of Klaudio Tomaz’s grandfather, Petar, a skilled winemaker who lived to be 98 years old. His passion and knowledge laid the foundation for the family’s dedication to viticulture. The turning point came in 2023 with the opening of a modern wine cellar and tasting room.
