Vina Vicinim
Vina Vicinim is a family-operated winery founded by Marko Bernobić in Deklevi, near Višnjana, with roots in a family tradition of agriculture and winemaking. The name “Vicinim” comes from the Latin “vicinius,” meaning “neighboring,” referring to the area around Višnjana where the vineyards are located.
They manage about 7 hectares of vineyards, of which around 60 % are planted with white varieties (mainly Malvazija) and the rest with red grapes. The vineyards lie on red soil (terra rossa / “crvenica”) on hillsides at elevations of approximately 250–300 m above sea level, giving the wines a distinct minerality and structure.
The winery also includes 2 hectares of olive groves, producing extra virgin olive oil alongside wine. Their cellar is equipped with modern stainless steel tanks with cold fermentation, and they also use barriques for aged wines.
