Istria300: Ride Your Limits on the Roads of Istria

On September 27th, 2025, Poreč once again becomes the beating heart of European cycling with the 5th edition of Istria300. This endurance cycling festival brings thousands of riders from all over the world to the Istrian peninsula, offering them the challenge of conquering the region’s diverse landscapes — from coastal roads kissed by the Adriatic breeze to the rolling hills and medieval towns of the green hinterland.

Three Routes, One Spirit

  • Istria300: 300.5 km with 5,150 m of elevation gain – the ultimate challenge for endurance cyclists.

  • Istria209: 209 km with 3,250 m of climbing – a demanding ride through the very heart of Istria.

  • Istria135: 134.5 km with 1,800 m of elevation – the perfect route for those who want to taste the challenge and scenery at a more approachable distance.

What makes this event unique is its flexibility: riders start together in Poreč and can choose their route along the way, depending on how they feel and how much they want to push their limits.

A Festival Atmosphere

The routes weave through iconic Istrian locations such as Labin, Pazin, Svetvinčenat, and the hills above Buje, passing olive groves, vineyards, and hidden villages along the way. Feed zones and cheering locals keep the energy high, while the finish line in Poreč transforms into a celebration with music, food, and the Adriatic sunset as the backdrop.

Istria300

More Than a Race

Istria300 is both a sporting challenge and a cultural experience. The days leading up to the event include expos, workshops, and social gatherings where cyclists meet, share stories, and soak in the coastal charm of Poreč. For some, it’s about personal records; for others, about camaraderie and discovering Istria from the saddle.

Ride Your Limits

Whether you conquer the full 300 kilometers or opt for the shorter routes, Istria300 offers every participant the same reward: a journey through breathtaking landscapes, a test of endurance, and a connection to the spirit of Istria.
