Vina Bruno Ferenac
Vina Bruno Ferenac is a boutique, family-run winery located in the quiet village of Ferenci near Vižinada, in the heart of Istria. The Ferenac family has been connected to the land for generations, and Bruno continues that tradition with a modern approach to viticulture and a strong emphasis on hospitality. His vineyards stretch over approximately 5 hectares, planted on fertile terra rossa (red soil) that defines this part of inland Istria. The most prized vineyard plot, Nad Mekiši, lies just a few hundred meters from the estate and is known for producing structured, mineral-rich wines.
In addition to winemaking, the Ferenac family cultivates olives, and the estate includes about one hectare of olive trees. Bruno has built his reputation on honest, full-bodied wines that reflect the character of the soil and the climate—crafted with care, but never pretentious.

Ambiance
What truly sets Vina Bruno Ferenac apart is the atmosphere. Tastings take place in a rustic, stone-built room next to Bruno’s family home, surrounded by vines and olive trees. The setting is quiet and scenic, offering an escape into authentic Istrian countryside life.
Bruno himself usually hosts the tastings—bringing humor, warmth, and deep knowledge of the local winemaking traditions. With his background in hospitality and languages, he easily connects with international guests and creates a relaxed, friendly environment where visitors feel like part of the family.
Tastings are accompanied by homemade Istrian snacks: local prosciutto, sausages, cheeses, olive oil, and fresh bread. The focus is not only on wine, but on sharing stories, heritage, and the everyday rhythm of life in rural Istria. Many guests describe the experience as unforgettable for its authenticity, simplicity, and Bruno’s charismatic presence.
