The story of winemaking in the Markežić family dates back to 1891, with the initial foundation laid by the cultivation of the Momjan Muscat. Over the decades, the family has nurtured its vineyards with dedication and innovation, becoming a pioneer in organic wine production in Istria. Kabola was the first winery in Croatia to produce wines aged in amphorae, combining ancient techniques with modern viticultural knowledge.

Kabola Winery produces a wide range of wines, including Malvazija Istarska, Teran, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Merlot. Their signature offerings include wines aged in amphorae, such as Amfora Malvazija and Amfora Teran, known for their distinctive character and complex aromas. The estate also crafts sparkling wines like the elegant RE Kabola and produces organic extra virgin olive oil.
Tasting Experiences
Kabola offers four curated tasting packages, each lasting up to 60 minutes, depending on the selection. These tastings are complemented by traditional Istrian delicacies, such as Istrian ham and olive oil. Reservations are required to ensure a personalized experience.
